Mauna Kea
Mauna Kea is the world’s tallest mountain, one of two extinct volcanoes located on The Big Island of Hawaii. The summit of the mountain is one of the clearest and driest spots on Earth and is superb for viewing the planets and stars, and its’ unique geography and location makes it the world’s premier location for observatories. At the base of the mountain, along the sunny Kohala Coast lies the Mauna Kea resort area, which contains two of the world’s most picturesque beaches.
